Nothing beats a nice white picket fence

I've been rebuilding my little fence for a while now.

I kept the front portion of a picket fence that divided our property from the neighbors. I figure that the old fence had been in place for about 60-70 years.

Essentially, I just rebuild it on the same footprint. New posts, new bones, cut my own pickets, new kick-board, new prime/paint, and a new gate/hardware.

Started gathering the wood last September. Then the rains came. Then winter. Then my malaise.

It's mostly done now. In fact I just built the gate frame and hung it successfully. I just have some priming and final painting left.

Building a fence can be a relaxing project that one can stretch out over time.
